Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Head of Quality and Risk for our Seniors Communities portfolio. This pivotal role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality, compliance, and risk systems, ensuring our services meet the highest standards of excellence and align with our Christian mission, vision, and values. The Head of Quality and Risk - Seniors Communities will focus on audit, accreditation, risk mitigation, and incident/complaint management. You will work in partnership with operational leaders to embed a culture of accountability, learning, and service excellence. By coaching and guiding teams through regulatory and organisational requirements, you will ensure compliance is maintained while driving sustainable improvements in service quality, aligned with the Aged Care Act and Retirement Villages Act. Key Accountabilities: Leadership and Management : Lead the Quality and Compliance team, setting clear objectives, KPIs, and accountability standards. Develop and implement strategic quality and compliance plans aligned with clinical governance, risk management, and organisational priorities. Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management : Lead the implementation of quality management systems and ensure compliance with aged care and retirement village legislative requirements. Continuous Improvement : Partner with operational leaders to embed a culture of quality improvement beyond compliance minimums. Monitor and support the management of Plans for Continuous Improvement (PCIs) across all aged care standards. Stakeholder Management : Participate in Anglicare’s clinical and risk governance committees. Build and maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Represent the organisation on internal working groups and collaborate with cross-functional teams as directed. Professional Growth and Team Development : Participate in performance reviews and development planning with the General Manager - Quality, Safeguarding, and Practice. Support the professional development and performance of direct reports, including training, coaching, and succession planning. Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge and skills in relevant legislation, standards, and best practice. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Must hold a Bachelor's in Quality Assurance and/or any other relevant discipline. Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality, risk, or compliance roles within aged care or healthcare. At least 2 years’ experience supervising or leading a team. Proven experience managing accreditation processes and clinical audits. Hands-on experience with complaints resolution, incident management, and improvement plans. Advanced interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team management abilities. High-level clinical investigation and incident analysis skills Skilled in data interpretation, reporting, and clinical governance systems. Knowledge of aged care regulatory standards and quality frameworks. Experience in project management and driving change initiatives. What do we offer?
