The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares. Alexandria Station, NT Our Alexandria Station is located on the Barkly Tableland in the Northern Territory and is NAPCo's oldest property acquired in 1877. Neighbouring NAPCo's Mittiebah, Soudan and Gallipoli Stations, it's home to NAPCo’s Alexandria composite stud. The role Reporting to the Station Manager, we are currently seeking a Bore Runner, to work in a permanent full-time position at our Alexandria Station, NT. The Bore Runner monitors and maintains water supplies and associated infrastructure for livestock across the station. You will refuel start pumps, check on livestock, maintain fences and assist in ad hoc station duties as required. Day to day duties include, but are not limited to: Monitoring and maintaining water supplies and associated infrastructure for livestock Re-fuelling / starting pumps Checking on stock Maintaining fences Working alone and unsupervised Performing your job safely and operating equipment in a safe manner Ideally the successful candidate will: Have experience working as a Bore Runner Hold a current C class drivers licence Be a self-starter that is able to work autonomously and unsupervised Prior mechanical experience would be highly regarded Be committed to working safely in accordance with NAPCo's HSE policies and procedures Employee benefits Competitive day rate and generous annual leave entitlements, season completion bonus Permanent full-time position Meals and single male air-conditioned accommodation provided We invest heavily in on-the-job training and all staff are offered and encouraged to complete a traineeship in Agriculture.
