About the Role We have the perfect opportunity for you with our Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Graduate Program at AES Jindalee Qld. At AES you will learn in a highly supportive and encouraging environment where the focus is on helping you develop as a veterinarian and grow your ECC career. The ECC Graduate Program is an exciting, fully supported, growth opportunity that includes full-time hours where you are rostered for 152 clinical hours per 4 weeks, over a 6-month period. During this time, you will not only gain the skills to kickstart your career in emergency vet work, but you will also earn post-nominals in ECC (FCert ECC) at the end of the program. Included in this period, we will pay you 5 hours a week to study to further your education and development! With a New Grad Training Package to fast-track your ECC training and growth (worth over $14,000), you will engage in the following: Accelerated Emergency Program to build vital clinical skills and knowledge Emergency Surgery Program with step-by-step breakdowns of common emergency surgical conditions Ultrasound Training to enhance your diagnostic skills in practice Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – a deep dive into this critical emergency skill Vet Success Academy – master consultations with confidence and professionalism THRIVE – support to tackle the challenges of this impactful profession AEA LIVE Program – focus on career progression and fast-track your growth Our ECC Graduate Program provides an opportunity for vets to establish a career in ECC medicine under the guidance of experienced clinicians. The objective of this program is to train individuals to be confident ECC leaders. Upon completion, you may choose to continue on as part of our team. The program is facilitated by an experienced Emergency and Critical Care veterinarian holding or studying for their memberships in ECC. You will begin with one-on-one mentorship; accompanying your mentor in consultations, assisting in diagnostics and surgical procedures, and observing client communications. You will then progress to taking primary case management under supervision, developing confidence and clinical skill. Regular structured check-ins and feedback are included. After 6 months and graduation from the program, you will join our consulting vet roster and transition into an ECC Vet position, working part-time or full-time rostered hours.
