The SDO is seeking an experienced SAP Business Warehouse (BW) Specialist to support ongoing projects, maintenance, and enhancement activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering SAP BW, Business Intelligence (BI), Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), and Strategic Budgeting and Planning (SBP) solutions, ensuring data integration and reporting capabilities, and contributing to the development of the Self-Service BI architecture within the SDO. Requirements Key duties and responsibilities The ERP Technical section within the SDO is seeking an experienced SAP Business Warehouse (BW) Specialist to support ongoing projects, maintenance, and enhancement activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering SAP BW, Business Intelligence (BI), Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), and Strategic Budgeting and Planning (SBP) solutions, ensuring data integration and reporting capabilities, and contributing to the development of the Self-Service BI architecture within the SDO. This role offers a motivated individual the chance to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team environment. Key responsibilities include: Designing and building information models, Bex queries, and SAP Business objects reports. Developing and maintaining documentation to support Self-Service Business Intelligence development. Supporting the successful delivery of planning and consolidation solutions for the Parliamentary Expenses Management System (PEMS) project. Designing and interpreting reporting architecture for SAP BI while troubleshooting and resolving issues with functional analysts and end-users. Developing and maintaining integration plans for ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ process models. Leading new development initiatives and providing ongoing support for the SDO’s Business Intelligence architecture. The ideal candidate will possess the following highly desirable skills and capabilities: Over 10 years of experience in SAP BW, BI, BPC and SBP, with a strong understanding of finance and public sector budgeting and planning processes. Expertise in SAP BW 7.5 and Business Objects, environments including authorisations, management, and process chains for data loads. ABAP skills for modifying BADI’s and customer exits. Proven experience in HANA Live real-time reporting and building HANA CDS views, DSOs, InfoCubes and MultiProviders. Strong business-facing consulting skills with experience in stakeholder engagement. Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and deliver high-quality results. Technical skills Desirable skills and capabilities include: • Knowledge of the PEMS project. • Experience with public sector projects and upgrades in SAP BW and Business Objects (BO). • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder coordination skills. • Experience with SAP BW and BO upgrade projects. • Relevant SAP certifications. • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud.
