The ever-changing blackboard specials showcase the freshest local ingredients, while the friendly service and relaxed atmosphere create a warm and welcoming experience.We are looking for a permanant full-time Chef to join our team. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Skilfully preparing a variety of raw ingredients, including meat and vegetables, utilizing diverse culinary techniques. Rigorously inspecting all ingredients to ensure premium quality and usability. Executing all menu items to our established high standards of taste and presentation. Proactively planning and accurately estimating food quantities required for service. Effectively prioritizing daily menus, recipes, and kitchen tasks. Diligently monitoring the quality of dishes throughout all stages of preparation. Adapting recipes to accommodate guest dietary requirements and preferences. Operating all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Precisely monitoring and regulating heat and cold sources to maintain optimal food quality. Presenting and serving dishes in an attractive and appealing manner. Preparing flavourful sauces and gravies according to our recipes. Strictly adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations and procedures. Maintaining a consistently clean, organized, and efficient personal workstation. Contributing creatively to menu development, considering seasonal product availability. Communicating clearly and effectively with all kitchen and front-of-house staff. Assisting with the estimation and ordering of necessary stock. Maintaining impeccable standards of personal hygiene at all times. Ensuring the highest levels of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen. Requirements: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or higher) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience. Proven ability to prepare and execute a diverse range of dishes to a high standard. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A passion for fresh, local ingredients and creative cooking. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must comply with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Food Safety regulations. Position: Full-Time Salary & Benefits: Competitive annual salary ranging from $73,000 to $78,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
