Description About the Role We are recruiting a hands-on Maintenance Officer role for our client, a well-established independent school in St Kilda. You'll work with the property team, tackling day-to-day repairs and preventative maintenance across classrooms, offices, sporting areas and landscaped grounds. Type : Temporary short-term Contract : ASAP start * Ends mid-July Hours : Monday to Friday, 7:00/7:30am to 3:00/3:30pm or 8:00am to 4:00pm. Location : St Kilda Key Duties Perform carpentry, plumbing and general trade repairs Carry out routine inspections and respond to maintenance requests Liaise with contractors and ensure works meet safety standards Support minor refurbishment projects during school holidays Maintain accurate records of completed jobs and materials used Follow all WHS and child-safe practices on campus Profile Candidate's Profile Current Employee Working with Children Check (must-have) Trade qualification in Carpentry or Plumbing (essential) Proven experience in facility or building maintenance, ideally in an educational or similar environment National Police Check dated within the last 6 months (or willingness to obtain) Sound knowledge of OH&S regulations and safe work procedures Professional communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude Job Offer Why Join?
