They seek a skilled Carpenter to join their team. The Role The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of finishing carpentry and be able to execute precise work to meet high-quality standards. This role is full time with an annual salary set at $75,000 plus superannuation. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements. Cut, shape, and assemble materials using manual and power tools, ensuring accuracy and precision. Construct, set up, repair, and maintain structures and fixtures in wood and other materials, following specific guidelines. Select, source, and manage construction materials, maintaining an inventory of supplies and ensuring that materials are secured and assembled using hand tools, wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. Adhere to local building regulations, safety rules, and environmental standards. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, wearing appropriate clothing and footgear at all times. Coordinate and supervise activities of workers to ensure construction requirements are met. Performing the installation of fascia panels, roof sheathing, and exterior wall cladding, as well as fitting door and window frames, ensuring high-quality finishes and structural integrity in all construction projects. Communicate with clients to discuss project details, updates, and alterations, aiming to meet their expectations and complete work within the allocated timeline and budget. Move essential materials around the job site as allocated and clean-up worksite debris. Manage the condition of carpentry tools and construction equipment, performing necessary repairs and adjustments. Requirements Relevant trade qualifications in carpentry At least 2 years' experience in commercial carpentry work Must have 2 years' in construction carpentry in a professional setting Must have 2 years' experience in residential and commercial carpentry projects particularly in lockup and final stages of construction Must have 2 years' experience in conservational carpentry Must know how to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Must have at least 1 work referee Physical dexterity and ability to stand for long periods In-depth knowledge and understanding of all technical drawings and specifications Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Australia residency with working rights preferred
