SSS Practitioner | Ongoing - Full Time position About the Department The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services. The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres. About the Division Student Support Services aims is to assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning to achieve their educational and developmental potential through the provision of a range of strategies and specialized support at individual, group, and school levels. You'll work with a diverse group of people who share a common goal, and you will be well supported to use your professional skills and knowledge to provide specialised support at the individual, group, school, and area level. Our dynamic team comprises Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Behavioural Analysts, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers. You will also work with other Area and regional staff, such as, Education Improvement Leaders, Visiting Teachers, School Nurses and Professional Practice Leaders to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes in schools. About the Role The Department of Education is looking for Psychologists, Speech Pathologists or Behaviour Analysts to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) team in the West Grampians Network, Wimmera South West Area in supporting schools to address the barriers to learning that impact on student(s) progress to achieving their educational goals and development potential. Required: Either: 1. A graduate or post-graduate degree in Speech Pathology, eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), and a current Australian Drivers' Licence and Working with Children Check. Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) is desirable. 2. A graduate or post-graduate degree in Psychology, a full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA), and a current Australian Drivers' Licence and Working with Children Check. 3. A Masters qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis as part of a verified course sequence as specified by the Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia (ABAA). Registration or membership with one of the following bodies: Association of Behaviour Analysis Australia (ABAA) as CBA-U, or Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as BCaBA. A current Australian Drivers' Licence and Working with Children Check. At least two years' experience in the application of behavioural science in a practice setting This is a full-time ongoing role with flexible work arrangements.
