ABOUT US Mort & Co Fertilisers operates a unique facility, employing innovative technology to produce environmentally friendly, carbon-based product. This state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in Australia. The plant repurposes manure to supply sustainable, industry leading products to all types of Australian farms. ABOUT THE ROLE We currently have an opportunity to Join the Mort & Co Fertilisers team in the newly created position of Soil & QA Technician. The Key Soil Tech responsibilities of the position are: Field work including, collecting samples, onsite soil tests and recording data Laboratory testing to analyse soil composition and structure. Analysing and reporting on soil suitability, potential risks such as erosion and contamination and advising on mitigation measures Working with clients and other professionals to communicate findings and recommendations. The key Quality Assurance responsibilities are: Developing and executing Quality Assurance processes for Mort & Co Fertilisers Overseeing quality assurance activities for incoming and in-process materials, and finished goods, ensuring that feed, food safety and quality management systems conform to standards and requirements Establishing appropriate processes and record keeping for Batch Records, Finished Goods, Certificates of Analysis, including traceability and recall of Finished Goods; Overseeing statutory compliance requirements in relation to Quality, obtaining agreed certificates required for either statutory or other business requirements; ABOUT YOU The key criteria for this position include: A Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Science or Chemistry or Soil Science with specific experience in an agricultural environment. High level analytical skills with an ability to interpret results and relate the results to manufacturing processes, providing insights and advice where improvements are needed. Lead Auditor and HACCP Principles and Applications Training are desirable but not essential. Advanced organisational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships, partnerships and networks. Good judgement and the ability to make timely practical and effective decisions. Ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team. WHY WORK WITH US?
