About the role The Healthy Hearing team are currently seeking applications for an Enrolled Nurse in a permanent full time capacity. The Healthy Hearing Enrolled Nurse with Advanced Practice (HH ENAP) works independently and interdependently performing newborn hearing and pulse oximetry screening. This position works with the Clinical Nurse Site Coordinator and other Enrolled Nurses to ensure that all babies are offered a hearing and pulse oximetry screen while meeting the State- wide Healthy Hearing Universal newborn hearing screening program targets/KPI’s. The HH ENAP supports the CN Site Co-ordinator and is a model for the hearing screening EN team, assisting with the ad hoc queries of the EN team and working with all members of the team to maintain the data for screening results and to oversee data entry. Salary range: $39.25 - $41.65 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 access to many staff benefits! What you’ll be doing This role will see you working as part of a friendly team, involved in performing both pulse oximetry and hearing screens, recording and collecting data, as well as liaising with patients, their relatives and Health professionals. About you To be considered you must have: Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions) Clinical knowledge and ability within the scope of Enrolled Nursing practice Computer literacy skills High level communication and organisational skills and the ability to function within a multidisciplinary team Ability to be available to work at short notice will be very highly regarded No formal screening or audiology qualifications are required, as full training will be provided on the job.
