About Your Role: We are searching for an experienced Tradesperson looking to advance their career as a Service Delivery Manager. You will be required to lead and oversee one or more service delivery areas, working as part of our Component Solutions team. This role will support the NIF Bogies Project & Locomotive component overhaul works projects. You are a dynamic individual who can ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient execution of contracted work, meeting performance targets and fulfilling customer commitments in full and on time. As a key advocate for health and safety, you will actively promote and enforce safety practices, ensuring that toolbox talks, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and safety conversations are conducted consistently and effectively. Key Responsibilities: Lead the team within production to ensure contracted work is delivered in full and on time Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety policies and procedures Enforce the implementation of toolbox talks, SWMS, and regular safety conversations Plan, manage, and allocate resources to meet production and service delivery objectives Monitor team performance and ensure continuous development through coaching and feedback Collaborate with stakeholders to address challenges, mitigate risks, and implement improvement initiatives Drive operational excellence by tracking performance metrics and delivering against targets About You: Relevant trade qualification with extensive experience within a production, maintenance or engineering environment Proven leadership experience managing teams to achieve operational and safety performance targets Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices, including conducting toolbox talks and implementing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage resources and priorities effectively Demonstrated experience delivering contracted projects or services in full, on time, and to agreed standards Experience in implementing continuous improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma About Us UGL is a well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services within; rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
