The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long life of mine. The Role An opportunity exists at our operation for a Purchasing Officer to join our team. As an integral member of the supply team, you will drive a high-performance culture, role modelling and reinforce the behaviours that will underpin the success of our operation. Reporting to the Supply Superintendent, you will be primarily responsible for; Ensuring that the supply and procurement function is carried out in accordance with Glencore policies; Sourcing goods and services to obtain best total cost and availability for the Ravensworth Complex; Ensure timely processing of purchase orders and maintain accurate pricing records Build and Maintain strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers; Identifying continuous improvements and optimising supply outcomes. About you To be successful in this role, you will have; Strong business acumen; High commitment to safety; Extensive knowledge of purchasing practices; Demonstrated capacity of balancing operational and commercial requirements in a large mining environment; Experience using SAP Materials Management (desirable).
