About The Role: The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective cleaning of the Hospital and wider campus, ensuring staff are following policies and procedures and working within infection control Guidelines. Demonstrated sound, practical knowledge of cleaning, waste and laundry systems. Strong human resource management skills including rostering and managing work hours. Strong negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills. Effective report writing and priority management skills. Thorough understanding of WH&S and quality assurance principles. Effective computer working knowledge in Word, Excel, GroupWise and Power Point. Providing leadership and management to the Mater Campus facilities for the provision of environmental services i.e. cleaning, waste, and linen distribution. About You: Prior Management experience and ability to lead, manage and motivate a large team in either a Healthcare Environmental services environment, Hotel hospitality or housekeeping, or facilities management role, and preferably in a customer focused industry for more than 2 years. Excellent understanding of rostering, productivity and budgeting, with strong financial acumen. Experience in dealing with multi-stake holder environments. Why Work at St Vincent’s? One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals. Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway. The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres. Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
