Sales Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (Mat Cover) This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for permanent appointment for the right candidate. My client is seeking an experienced Sales Team Leader to step into the Commercial Director's role on maternity cover. You will manage the day-to-day running of a six-person sales team, drive revenue‐generating activity, and ensure our monthly targets are met. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll forecast, coach, lead by example and drive pipeline management to deliver outstanding results. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management Oversee, mentor and motivate six account executives. Conduct one-to-one coaching sessions and performance reviews. Run a structured weekly sales-team meeting to review progress, share insights and set priorities. Forecasting & Reporting Produce and maintain accurate revenue forecasts and pipeline reports. Analyse week-on-week and month-on-month performance against targets. Present findings and recommendations to my client's senior leadership. Sales Activity & Pipeline Management Lead by example: actively engage in prospecting, qualifying and closing key deals. Ensure rigorous pipeline hygiene and CRM discipline. Identify and escalate at-risk opportunities; develop action plans to safeguard targets. Revenue Growth & Target Achievement Set clear monthly revenue targets for the team and track progress. Drive activity metrics (calls, demos, proposals) to maximise conversion. Innovate and share best practices to continuously improve win rates. Qualifications & Experience Proven track record in B2B sales leadership, ideally within a subscription or SaaS-style environment. Minimum 5 years' experience in a sales management or senior sales role. Demonstrated ability to hit and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets. Strong forecasting and pipeline-management skills, with hands-on CRM experience (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce). Skills & Attributes Exceptional coaching and people-management capability.
