We are looking for an experienced Expert Lead - Pricing & Balance Sheet with a background in SME and Business Banking products (Lending, Transactional Banking and Savings). You’ll lead our Pricing & Balance Sheet Optimisation function within the Centre of Expertise, Business Banking. This role will focus on building and executing pricing strategies to drive growth across new and existing customer segments and products to deliver on revenue and return objectives including interest and fee income. This role will be accountable for development, execution and management of pricing strategy, driving near and long term revenue optimisation to support Business Banking Portfolio objectives. What you’ll do Develop and execute pricing strategy across new and existing customer segments and products to support growth, revenue and return objectives including both interest and fee income Drive reduction in portfolio attrition, extended customer tenor and reduced churn to optimize balance between retained value and cost to retain Accurately forecast and manage near term and long-term revenue and portfolio growth using business insight to maximise profitability Drive sophistication in pricing capability and predictive modelling through development of a pricing capability roadmap and an approach to optimized pricing for customer segment Work collaboratively with Data Science, Customer Interactions and Analytics teams to improve pricing analytics and portfolio insights and drive effective pricing recommendations Maintain focus on competitive landscape and benchmarking to improve competitiveness of offers, optimise profitability while achieving growth targets Work with Treasury & Finance across all areas impacting pricing including funding plans, FTP models, liability replication and hedging to support profitable growth, with a focus on optimising cost of funds and maximising ROE Coach and lead professionals with deep expertise to achieve growth aspirations of Business Banking while developing individuals careers and supporting “Orange” behaviours of collaboration and ‘can do’ delivery Lead agile delivery of continuous improvements to systems, processes, tools and capability What we’re looking for Experience in articulating strategy and setting strategic direction with others (including identifying key priorities and initiative sequencing) with a mindset of balancing short term objectives and long-term sustainable growth Proven product or pricing management experience (7-10 years), and experience managing a product P&L Highly numerate and experienced in managing complex trade-offs to support often competing growth, revenue and return objectives Demonstrable experience with sophisticated pricing models, including the development of use cases and a roadmap on implementation of a pricing engine to drive improved portfolio growth, and customer experience Proven experience influencing and leading diverse stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Finance) An analytical mindset, using data to drive decision making A passion for delighting customers, deeply understanding their needs and delivering a value exchange to drive sustainable and profitable business growth Strong and proven people leadership capability – able to build strong and engaged teams, driven by purpose and a passion for customers The ability to thrive as a self-starter in a fast paced, ‘start up’ environment, with a focus on delivering outcomes today while planning strategically for future horizons What’s in it for you ?
