ConsultANZ is currently on the lookout for a Metal Fabricator with at least 3 years experience to join one of our prominent piling contractor clients specializing in ground improvement and engineering based in Sydney. Main Duties Fabricate, assemble, modify, and repair metal parts for iron and steel structures, boilers, pressure vessels, piping systems, ships, and other marine vessels. Tasks Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements Select, clean, and prepare metal materials for fabrication Cut metal components to specified shapes and sizes using hand tools, flame cutters, and metal cutting machinery Shape and bend metal sections and piping using manual tools, machinery, heating, and hammering techniques Align and position components for assembly using measuring tools and hand equipment Join metal parts through various welding techniques, as well as bolting and riveting methods Inspect welds for accuracy, bead consistency, depth of penetration, and overall quality Finish metal products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and applying acidic solutions Smooth and clean welded joints using filing, chiseling, and grinding tools About You: Experience Metal Fabricator. A minimum of 3 years experience Strong proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG & TIG welding Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Familiarity with metal fabrication equipment and tools Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills Commitment to safety and a willingness to follow all safety guidelines and procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Benefits: Competitive salary on offer from $85 to $95K per annum Full-time permanent position Based in Sydney APPLY NOW If interested email your resume to hr@avopiling.com to hear more about this opportunity.
