Company Overview Our client is an iconic Australian FMCG leader whose brands and products are found all around the world. The Role Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and reporting across the business. Responsibilities Support monthly financial reporting process, including reconciliations and preparation of reporting schedules. Manage and review balance sheet reconciliations, journals and month-end tasks. Assist with maintenance of the fixed asset register and capital project reporting. Perform weekly cash forecasting and manage open purchase orders and internal invoices. Prepare data for statutory reporting including BAS, FBT and audit requirements. Assist in monitoring and maintaining effective internal controls. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within financial processes. Support budgeting, forecasting and internal recharge processes. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Candidate Our client is looking to attract an ambitious candidate who is considering their first move out of a Big 4/Mid-Tier firm or someone who has had experience working within a large complex FMCG or retail environment. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline. Progression towards CA/CPA accreditation (desirable). Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality. Proven experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships. Exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded, however not essential.
