About the Role: NHP have an exciting opportunity for a TECHNICAL CONSULTANT – Automation and Software to join our Technical Sales team in Auckland. Reporting to the Technical Consultant Manager, you will represent our key partner – Rockwell Automation and will excel in delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety in industrial environments. Key responsibilities include: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their automation needs and providing tailored solutions using Rockwell Automation products Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of Rockwell Automation solutions Collaborate with clients to design and implement automation systems that enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety Provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales process, including pre-sales consultations, system design, and post-sales support Stay up-to-date with the latest Rockwell Automation products, technologies, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations to clients Work closely with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies, achieve sales targets, and expand market share Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients to ensure they can effectively use and maintain Rockwell Automation products Prepare and deliver detailed proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients. Ideally you will have / be: Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or related field OR a Trade background Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technology Consultant, Sales Engineer, or similar role in the industrial automation space. Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other industrial automation technologies (preferred) Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills and the ability to understand complex Automation systems Rockwell Automation - In-depth knowledge of Rockwell Automation products and solutions Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing complex technical challenges Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders Multitasking : Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
