This is a rare opportunity to lead a finance function during a pivotal business transformation. About the Role This newly restructured position will be responsible for leading and modernising the finance function across national operations. You will manage a capable team and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to establish scalable systems, support strategic planning, and help shape the roadmap for growth. You'll own the day-to-day financial operations but also have a voice in long-term planning, process improvements, automation, and site expansions, working closely with all department leads. Your Key Responsibilities Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly finance cycles across multiple entities and sites Lead budgeting and forecasting processes; ensure accurate monthly department updates Prepare and present financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) Monitor working capital, cash flow and funding requirements Ensure compliance with statutory reporting (BAS, PAYG, FBT, Workcover, etc.) Oversee payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable teams Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team Establish, document and improve internal processes and financial controls Collaborate with all departments to provide insights and strategic guidance Support future projects Quarterly interstate travel About You We're looking for someone who has walked the walk —a finance leader with both small business adaptability and larger business experience. You’ll be the glue between daily execution and strategic transformation. Must-Have Experience: Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role Background in manufacturing or FMCG Strong Excel, MYOB, ATO Portals and Microsoft 365 experience Confident with leading, motivating and developing a small team Ability to present findings to leadership and influence outcomes Working collaboratively with teams across functions Core Competencies: High EQ and approachable leadership style Growth mindset, resilient, solutions-focused and adaptable Proven ability to streamline processes and identify efficiencies High attention to detail
