We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead our clients’ sales initiatives within the higher education and enterprise sales, encompassing membership associations and corporate sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of these industries, demonstrate a proven track record in enterprise software sales (ideally within EdTech), and exhibit the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, as well as building the team as the business grows. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share across higher education institutions, membership associations, and corporate enterprises. Identify and prioritise target organisations, aligning sales efforts with market opportunities. Team Management You will be pivotal to the success of our team. Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular evaluations, and implement professional development plans. Market Analysis and Business Development Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics within the education and corporate sectors. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and relationship-building activities. Client Engagement and Relationship Management Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including university administrators, association executives, and corporate leaders. Present tailored solutions that address the specific challenges and goals of each sector. Sales Operations and Reporting Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals. Utilise CRM tools to track sales activities, forecast revenue, and generate detailed reports for senior management. Qualifications & Experience: Education Ideally a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is desirable but not necessary. Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a focus on enterprise software solutions within the higher education, membership associations, and corporate enterprises. Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market . Skills and Competencies In-depth knowledge of the operational and strategic challenges faced by higher education institutions, membership associations, and corporate enterprises. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong analytical abilities to interpret market data and inform strategic decisions. Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
