As a Workshop Technician (Upholstery Specialist ) at Jet Aviation , you’ll be part of a passionate and supportive workshop team that takes pride in crafting top-quality work. In this role, you'll dive into a variety of upholstery tasks—no two days are the same! You'll be working under Jet Aviation’s Part 145 approval, following our health and safety policies, aviation standards, and fulfilling customer requests with precision and care. Description/Tasks: ️ What You’ll Be Doing: Work independently to design, fabricate, and install upholstery and trim items in aircraft interiors. Craft and install seat covers, curtains, carpets, and custom assemblies—from sleek to extravagant. Sew, fit, and finish panels and covers, keeping safety, quality, and productivity top of mind. Turn design blueprints into reality by cutting and installing custom carpets with unique patterns. Safely remove, fabricate, and install interior aircraft components—like galleys, bulkheads, lavatories, and more. Coordinate with supervisors and inspectors to ensure everything meets strict aviation standards. Assess job needs and gather the right materials, documentation, and tools. Operate hand tools and shop equipment (band saws, shears, sanders—you name it) safely and effectively. Keep things clean, organized, and 5S-compliant. Help out with aircraft maintenance and adapt to schedule changes as needed. Collaborate with team leads to improve processes, cut down time and cost, and share best practices. Use your creative side to make simple patterns and bring them to life. Take on additional tasks as assigned—we like a can-do attitude! Qualification/Experience: ✅ What You’ll Need: Hands-on experience with aircraft interior installation and fabrication. Familiarity with materials like Nomex honeycomb, fiberglass, acrylic, and composite panels. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings. Skilled with hand and power tools. Comfortable with MS Office and able to communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken. A team player who’s organized, flexible, and ready to roll up their sleeves.
