Description The Site Storeperson is customer-facing and responsible for providing exceptional customer service on project sites through the provision of tools, equipment, and consumables as requested and in line with the project scope. In short, giving customer staff the tools and equipment they need in a safe and friendly manner. Maintaining the site stores to a presentable and safe standard and working collaboratively with other site team members. This role involves predominantly working away from home on various projects around Australia, providing on-site support. When there are no active projects, you'll return to our warehouse in Ballarat to assist with day-to-day operations and stock management. Key Responsibilities: Providing our customer staff with exceptional, friendly, and helpful customer service experiences. Utilising appropriate systems (like SFI Kiosk) to ensure accuracy. Reporting shortages or potential issues to the Store Manager. Ensuring store items are fit for purpose and ready for safe customer use. Receiving incoming goods, checking for damage, and ensuring discrepancies between goods and invoices are addressed. Unloading vehicles, opening packages, removing, and storing contents. Correct labelling of goods. Safe operation of materials handling equipment to lift, place, and remove goods at various high levels. Assisting with regular stocktakes. Skills And Experiences Customer Service Excellence : Proven ability to provide exceptional, friendly, and helpful service to staff and customers. Experience with Inventory Management : Ability to manage stock levels, accurately track items, and report shortages or discrepancies. Computer Skills : Basic computer skills for data entry and managing inventory records. Attention to Detail : Ensuring goods are received, checked for damage, and discrepancies between goods and invoices are reported. Materials Handling : Experience operating equipment for lifting, placing, and removing goods safely at various heights. Organisation & Presentation : Ability to maintain a clean, well-organised, and safe site store in collaboration with team members. Stock Control Experience : Ability to assist with regular stocktakes and manage goods accurately. Health & Safety Awareness : Sound understanding of safe practices in handling tools, equipment, and materials on site. Teamwork : Collaborative approach to working with on-site teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Physical Fitness : Ability to handle the physical demands of lifting, unloading, and storing goods safely. Problem-Solving Skills : Quick to identify and report potential issues such as shortages or damaged goods. Construction Induction Card : Must hold a valid Construction Induction (White) Card. Forklift License (Preferred) : Forklift license would be great, but not mandatory. Knowledge of Industrial Tools & Equipment : Familiarity with industrial tools, welders, and their components to ensure they are fit for purpose and safe for use. Sense of Humour : A friendly, approachable attitude with the ability to have a laugh and stay positive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
