COMPASS Recruitment are working with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, who have a track record in delivering engineering solutions across the Water sector, in their search for an Engineering manager. The role will be based in the East Gippsland area with flexible working available. To be successful in this role you will need: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or similar. 8 or more years' of experience in the relevant engineering discipline Experience in concept and detailed engineering design of Water infrastructure. Experience in water and wastewater industry Experience in managing the engineering and design aspects of multi-disciplinary projects Experience in preparation of project design objectives, schedules and programs, risk management plans and cost management Understanding of working with a multi-disciplinary team Ability to work independently with external local and overseas partners Experience in leading a team to deliver successful project outcomes. Preferred Qualifications: Member of Engineers Australia Knowledge of process elements including P&IDs, process functional descriptions, control philosophy, etc. A good understanding of operational requirements, process interruption issues, brownfield installation planning. Awareness of project management principals Experience in HAZOP / CHAIR / Other Safety in Design processes About the Role The company finds smarter and better ways for their clients to deliver, operate and maintain infrastructure. You will be providing engineering design management and lead multidiscipline engineers to deliver projects. The client operates a close-knit team who look to support each other in achieving the best outcome for the client. They undertake work directly for Water authorities and other utilities as well as partnering with chosen contractors to tender on treatment plant upgrades, pump stations and other important water and wastewater infrastructure. You will have opportunities to deliver innovative and practical design solutions and explore the use of digital engineering, drones, and emerging technology to do so.
