On behalf of Sydney Group Services, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join their team and contribute for their ongoing success. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Reading and interpreting architectural and technical drawings, plans, and specifications. Constructing, assembling, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood, timber, plywood, wallboard, and other materials. Building and installing frameworks, walls, floors, doors, windows, roofing structures, staircases, and cabinetry. Laying subflooring, installing insulation and cladding, and fitting interior and exterior finishes. Performing formwork and falsework for concrete pours. Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials using hand and power tools. Installing structural components such as beams, joists, and trusses. Conducting site preparation and layout work for new builds or renovations. Ensuring all work is compliant with Australian building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Collaborating with other trades to ensure project integration and completion. Conducting inspections and performing repairs or maintenance on existing structures. Maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring a clean, organised, and safe work environment. Qualifications and Skills: Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification. At least 1 year of proven work experience in residential or commercial carpentry. Strong ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength for manual labour. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $73,000 - $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
