The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares. NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 15 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD. Coolullah Station, QLD NAPCo has owned Coolullah Station since 1992, the property is positioned to the southwest of NAPCo owned Boomarra in Queensland's Gulf Country, along the Leichhardt River on the edge of the rich Mount Isa mineral fields. Coolullah Station is located approx 1 hour north of Cloncurry, or 2 hours east of Mt Isa. The Role For this position, you will need to be flexible and agile, as no two days are the same! A great opportunity to experience the unique lifestyle offered living and working on a cattle station in North QLD. The role offers daily variety and an opportunity to learn station cooking if this is a career path of interest. Its truly a unique opportunity! Day to day duties will vary, however will include things similar to the below: Maintaining gardens, mowing, whipper snipping, weeding, mulching and pruning around the house, living quarters and broader property Ensuring the living quarters, recreational room and amenities are clean and tidy Maintaining the overall property appearance Changing linen and cleaning guest quarters, as required Helping in the kitchen (cleaning, occasional cooking) Filling in for the Station Cook when they're away (i.e cooking for the crew) Ideally the successful candidate will: Have a flexible and agile mindset, with the ability to undertake varied station tasks Enjoy working autonomously with limited direction for some tasks, but also enjoy working with the Station Services Coordinator on other tasks you'll do together Have sound knowledge of gardening, cleaning, domestic functions and hygiene practices Be able to prioritise workloads Enjoy the unique lifestyle a remote cattle station offers Hold a current manual Drivers Licence We will consider working on a visa candidates (there is only one position) Employee benefits Full-time Permanent Position Meals and private, air-conditioned accommodation NAPCo are proud to offer competitive pay, generous annual leave entitlements, season completion bonus, uniform allowance and transfer opportunities between stations at the end of the year.
