Our client, located in Tahmoor, is one of the leading providers of Poultry Products Nationally, and they are looking for experienced butchers/boners, but will consider those without, for work with turkey products. The hours of work are generally Monday to Thursday 9am to 7pm with some OT on Fridays when required. The rate of pay is $32.49 To be considered for this role you must have a willingness to work and to learn. Skills Required: Preferred experience working with raw meat and have had exposure to using knives such as butchers, abattoir workers, boning. Physical capability to perform repetitious tasks efficiently, correctly and systematically Proven ability to understand and apply task instruction as directed Successfully worked as part of a team To be able to communicate written and verbally A basic knowledge of the food manufacturing environment with HACCP or food handling certificates would be an advantage. Ideally you will: Full work rights to work full time hours Have worked in a similar, or food-based environment, but this is not necessary Understand that you are working with raw meat products Be physically fit Able to stand for long periods of time Happy to work on your own Comfortable with repetitive tasks and movements Able to work in ambient and temperature-controlled environments Able to lift up to 20kg Due to quarantine, you must not have any contact with Birds or Pigs, to be considered for this role.
