About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Delivery Director to join a major Tier 1 project in Coffs Harbour, NSW. The Delivery Director will play a critical role in the leadership of the project, overseeing the entire delivery process, and reporting to the senior leadership team of the business. This is a pivotal role for someone with a strong background in civil, roads, tunnels, and structures, as well as exceptional communication and technical abilities. You will be part of the senior leadership team and responsible for resolving complex project issues, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving collaboration between government, contractors, and internal teams. The role involves working closely with the Project Director to ensure the project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Role Details: Location : 5 days onsite in the office at Coffs Harbour (flexible with 1 day WFH or travel back home). Availability : Occasional weekend work may be required. Start Date : Immediate start, with a June start preferred. Salary/Benefits : Competitive package - $1583.93 Super per day, including a company car, laptop, and mobile. Car & Driver’s License : Candidate must have a car and a valid driver’s license. Pre-employment checks will be required Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight : Lead the project delivery, ensuring it meets time, cost, and quality requirements while handling complex project challenges. Leadership : Provide strategic guidance to both internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex project issues. Stakeholder Management : Represent TfNSW in meetings with government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders, advocating for the NSW Government's interests. Collaboration : Work closely with project teams, government agencies, and contractors to ensure integrated decision-making and seamless project delivery. Compliance & Performance Monitoring : Monitor project milestones, performance measures, and compliance to ensure the successful delivery of the project. Team Leadership : Lead a team of 15 specialised positions across the project. Safety & Wellbeing : Ensure a strong safety culture and wellbeing focus, including adherence to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) policies and procedures. Key Challenges: Managing a wide range of technical and commercial aspects of the project, balancing scope, cost, performance, and risk. Promoting collaboration with contractors and ensuring smooth decision-making. Achieving efficiency in planning, ensuring on-time delivery, and meeting the operational and performance requirements of the NSW Government. Requirements: Experience : Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing major civil infrastructure projects (civil/roads/tunnels/structures background is essential). Leadership : Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a large team and collaborate across multiple disciplines. Contract Delivery : Experience in D&C (Design & Construct) contract environments. Stakeholder Engagement : Ability to liaise and coordinate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government agencies and contractors.
