Working Hours: Up to 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week Rostering: Rotating shifts between 7:00am – 7:00pm, Monday to Friday (no public holidays) About the Role: We are seeking 10 Customer Service Representatives to join a NSW Government department team at the Maitland . These contractors will support the Road Licensing & Identification business line and be the first point of contact for customers across NSW. This is a contract role with a dynamic rotating roster model. You will rotate between early, mid, and late shifts over a 4-week cycle — ensuring variety and balance. The role is well-suited to candidates with a strong background in customer service , particularly those with previous experience in call centres, administration, or retail . Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality customer service via inbound calls and digital channels Provide accurate information and resolve customer enquiries in a timely manner Navigate multiple systems and platforms to support customer needs Maintain detailed records and follow procedures to ensure compliance Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats Essential Criteria: 2–3 years' experience in customer service (call centre, administration, or retail preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfortable working in a structured office or contact centre environment Intermediate computer skills , including: Typing, mouse and monitor navigation Email etiquette and management Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams Technically savvy and quick to learn new systems Government experience is preferred but not essential Training & Onboarding: Induction Day: Thursday, 6 June 2025 – Maitland Contact Centre Phase 1 Training: 10 – 20 June 2025 – Newcastle Contact Centre Phase 2 Training: 29 July – 7 August 2025 – Newcastle Contact Centre Nesting Period: 12 weeks Attendance at all training sessions is mandatory. If you are unable to meet the required training outcomes or are assessed as not yet competent, your contract may be concluded.
