The Gig An exciting opportunity is now available for a hands-on, solutions-focused, and people-driven Site Manager to take the reins of a busy quarry operation. Supplying high-demand clay and rock products to civil and infrastructure projects, this site plays a critical role in the regional supply chain and is now ready for a strong leader to step in and take ownership. Based on site on the Central Coast, and reporting to the General Manager, you’ll ply your trade to oversee the full scope of quarry operations, from production through to workforce management and site compliance. You’ll bring structure, consistency, and accountability and direction to the crew, lifting performance and setting a new standard for safety and output. The site runs both fixed and mobile crushing and screening plant, with ongoing upgrades to improve performance. You’ll coordinate a team of permanent operators, oversee plant reliability, and keep materials moving safely and efficiently. You will be trusted with: Leading daily quarry operations to ensure safe and efficient delivery. Setting clear expectations and building a high-performing site culture. Mentoring the crew to lift accountability, safety, and work standards. Overseeing crushing, screening, loading, and fixed plant operations. Managing maintenance to keep plant and equipment running reliably. Coordinating labour and contractors to meet daily production goals. Identifying and resolving issues early through regular site inspections. Reporting safety, production, and site performance to senior management. Keeping accurate records of maintenance, checks, and team activity. What’s in your toolbox? 5 years' experience with civil, quarry or mining operations Strong leadership skills with a focus on lifting team performance Solid understanding of plant operations, maintenance, and scheduling Good knowledge of WHS, environmental standards, and site safety systems Clear communicator with a practical, steady approach to managing people and work Confident handling site records, inspections, and daily reporting You lead by example; steady, hands-on, and respected on site.
