We are looking for an experienced Chef to join the growing kitchen team for Harbour View Hotel. Nestled next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, on the most stunning harbour in the world and just steps from the city’s historic Rocks district is where you’ll find the Harbour View Hotel – rich in history and serving up beautiful food, delicious cocktails and a warm welcome. Applicants must have strong experience in busy kitchens, be capable with fast paced, high volume service, take pride in food presentation and be effective in a busy team environment. Key Requirements are: Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance Cook food items per menu and order supplies to stock inventory appropriately Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers Hard working and organized, team player with positive attitude Ability to manage your own sections and deliver a consistently high standard of food throughout service Take pride in food presentation, always ensuring top quality Good communication skills (verbal and written) Food Hygiene compliance, knowledge and practices Availability for rotating roster across Mon to Sun. Job will require approx. 38 hrs per week.
