About the Role: Reporting to the Director of Radiation Oncology, supported by Icon’s extensive doctor network, and working closely with local clinical/operational teams, the primary purpose of this role is to provide high-quality, evidence-based Radiation Oncology services (consultation, treatment, and all associated clinical care) to Icon Cancer Centre patients. Icon Maitland is located within Maitland Private Hospital, sitting halfway between the award-winning Hunter wine area and the beautiful Newcastle beaches. It offers radiation oncology services for residents of the greater hunter region, with outreach clinics in Nelson Bay and Singleton. The centre utilizes the latest radiotherapy techniques including VMAT, DIBH, SGRT, IGRT, and stereotactic capabilities. It features established multidisciplinary meetings, robust governance, and close links to other Icon sites, providing ample support and collaboration opportunities. Mandatory Requirements: Current Registered Medical Practitioner with AHPRA. Sub-speciality training in Radiation Oncology with Fellowship of RANZCR. Right to live and work in Australia.
