Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise the Concrete Crew as required. Coordinate works with other work groups in the execution of projects. Organise and coordinate all resources to ensure the most effective and efficient outcomes are achieved for the project. Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and utility service providers in the execution of projects. Coordinate works at multiple sites. Undertake all employee management activities relevant to the role, including recruitment, performance management/reviews, employee development, disciplinary action, rostering and timesheets, as well as ensuring a high level of employee motivation and team harmony Provide specialist knowledge in civil construction and maintenance activities including but not limited to concreting, drainage, and roadworks. Set out works and levels from plans. Supervise specific projects as directed by the Supervisor Civil. Execute works in accordance with AlburyCity's WHS Policies and Procedures and safe construction practices and ensure that all WHS requirements are met. Maintain records as required. Use appropriate computer software to execute activities e.g., report writing, electronic timesheet. Prepare project estimates and quotations as requested. Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence, and training. Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS. These times may vary due to operational requirements and will be determined by the supervisor. This position may involve work outside normal working hours. Additional hours over the standard 38 hours will attract a time in lieu arrangement or payment of overtime rates as agreed with your supervisor. In line with the provisions of the Local Government (State) Award, this position will receive the Level 1, Adverse Working Conditions Allowance, currently $17.00 per week. A fully maintained vehicle is available with access to AlburyCity's Commuter Use Program. This position involves working in a predominantly outdoor environment where a varying range of temperatures, weather conditions and walking surfaces may be experienced. The position requires a moderate level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake regular physical activities such as walking, lifting, pulling, pushing along with the capacity to maintain normal manual handling tasks across the workday - depending on the nature of the tasks undertaken. The use of relevant work method statements and appropriate WHS standards are an integral part of the role. A full functional and medical assessment is required for this position. This position is delegated with certain powers, authorities, duties, and functions of Council under the AlburyCity Delegations of Authority in accordance with section 378 of the Local Government Act. This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing. This position is located at the Albury Depot, Wodonga Place, and with occasional/frequent visits to external sites/depots, and AlburyCity Administration Building as required.
