Colours 6.0 Services PTY LTD. Position : Full time, Permanent. Salary : $75,000 – $80,000 per year. Location : Queensland Looking for an experienced trade qualified painter. Must have impeccable attention to detail to satisfy our range of clients. All aspects of painting from re-paints and renovations to new builds (spray painting ) and commercial. Early starts, long days from Monday to Saturday Sunday if necessary. Mandatory Candidate Requirements: Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Approved Working Visa Cert III in Painting & Decorating. Must have White Card. Vehicle to travel between Brisbane and northern NSW. Preferably UTE or VAN At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in similar role. Speak fluent English. Experience and skills: Strong understanding of WHS requirements Proven ability to manage jobs, including organising of required tools, equipment and specific materials. Competent in preparation of surfaces, selection of paints for required colours and matching finishes. Calculating the amount of materials and time required for each project Removing fixtures Ability to erect scaffolding, ladders, trestles and operate lifting machinery such as scissor lift. Competent in the masking of surfaces, placement of drop sheets to ensure protection of adjacent areas from paint and other materials splattering. Competent in applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and Sprays. Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications. Understanding of painting, caulking and sealing. Responsibilities: Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients and team. Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare surfaces for application of paint and or other protective coatings. Adhere to company standards of professionalism, presentation, communication, work ethic. Assist training of new team members or upskilling existing team members. Setting a high standard of work ethic for all team members in a respectful, proactive, and supportive manner. Travel between Brisbane and northen NSW as and when required. Able to work on weekends or extra hours if needed.
