Position Summary
Onsite Women's Health is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CAD Designer to join our Enterprise Logistics team. This role is responsible for preparing design and construction drawing packages for new breast imaging centers, service expansions and historical adjustments. The CAD Designer will work cross-functionally with internal teams, practices, and equipment vendors to develop accurate and timely drawings that support project implementation across our national footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Design Execution -
- Translate room measurements, photos, and design requirements into accurate CAD layouts for new center installations.
- Develop Preliminary Design Packets (PDP) including site schematics and proposed layouts for review by internal stakeholders and practice partners.
- Incorporate revisions and feedback into final Design Packets (DP) that are vendor-ready and construction-ready.
- Integrate CAD files from equipment vendors (Hologic, GE, Siemens) into the center layout designs.
Collaboration & Communication -
- Host schematic meetings with the Onsite project team to align on room requirements, workflow, and design expectations.
- Communicate design milestones and deliverables with internal teams, ensuring visibility of timelines and expectations.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Logistics team and Practice Relations to obtain necessary approvals and design input.
Documentation & File Management -
- Maintain organized project files in SharePoint and OneNote per company protocols.
- Archive finalized CAD files for long-term recordkeeping and reference.
- Ensure design packages comply with vendor specifications, internal standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Site Planning Support -
- Serve as a backup to the Construction and Installation Manager for occasional site visits to perform space planning assessments and gather dimensions and photos for CAD development.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support in-person planning when required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with CAD design in a construction, architecture, or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar CAD software).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret floor plans, vendor specifications, and site photos.
- Experience collaborating with project managers, vendors, and operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare facility design or medical equipment installation.
- Familiarity with breast imaging center layouts or radiology equipment.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and project documentation best practices.
