About the role: Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a career-defining role, as you support the maintenance and improvement of Port Waratah’s financial systems, including month-end processes and to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The part-time role provides the critical hands-on experience and professional growth needed to take your career to the next level and to excel as an accomplished Accountant. Key Responsibilities include: Assist in preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Maintain the fixed assets register and manage capital expenditure.Support the completion of annual FBT and monthly BAS returns.Support in month-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.Lead the administration of Port Waratah’s corporate card system.Ensure effective governance and processing of new vendors in the vendor payment system.
