The key duties of the position include The Role The Army Amenities Fund (AAF) and Army Relief Trust Fund (ARTF) section within the Chief of Staff Branch, Army Group is seeking a highly professional and experience team leader to manage the two Army Portfolio Entities. The team leader will lead a small team to provide corporate governance, finance and administrative support to the two Commonwealth Entities. He/she will perform both the Chief Financial Officer and the Company Secretary roles. They are accountable for overseeing the funds' full set of financial accounting, its governance compliance and legislative reporting obligations. These include an end of financial year audit, Ministerial submission and Annual Reports production for both entities. About our Team The team consists of 3 full-time APS (EL1, APS 6 & APS 5) and part-time military officers. The trust fund team's main functions are to provide stakeholder management and committee support to the AAF/ARTF Boards and Audit Committees. The Boards are the accountable authorities for the Trust Funds. The team's functions include: External stakeholder management including liaison with other Commonwealth agencies and other related parties such as the Company's legal representative; Internal stakeholder management including provision of financial and amenity support to the Army members and Defence communities; and Secretariat and Governance functions to provide administration support to the AAF/ARTF Boards and Audit Committees. Equipped with the following qualification is highly desirable: Tertiary qualifications such as Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Commerce/ Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent. Membership of a professional accounting body such as Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA). Qualification or working towards qualification as a Company Secretary.
