Role Overview Reporting into the Finance Manager, this Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of financial reporting and accounting of key business units. Y ou will be driving all month-end related tasks including weekly and monthly financial reporting and month-end close activities. Day to day this will include posting journals, reviewing and performing reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accuracy in all intercompany transactions. In addition, as the Senior Financial Accountant you will have the responsibility to manage the fixed asset register. This role will allow you to capitalise on your effective communication in stakeholder management and enhance your analytical skills through a range of operational reports. You will use your existing industry experience to bring unique and insightful analysis to these reports whilst driving efficiency and process improvement across the team. Responsibilities Lead and take ownership of month-end deliverables Key contact for queries, resolutions and sign-off. Reconciling P&L and balance sheet accounts with effective supporting documentation Manage and review all intercompany transactions Bank reconciliations Accurate and timely preparation and processing of general journal entries Detailed financial reporting on all entities Analysis of WIP, Projects and Labour Cost reporting analysis Fixed asset management and analysis Ad hoc transactions and reporting Candidate Profile You are highly energetic and proactive in your thinking, wishing to be in a critical role driving performance for a business. You are Accounting qualified (CA or CPA- not essential) and have a strong understanding of a complex multi-entity P&L. Extensive industry experience is essential coming from a Construction, Civil or Development environment. With exceptional communication skills that you leverage in shaping positive working relationships, you are flexible in working through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
