Because the grass isn’t just greener on the other side…it’s blue! Job Description Sunshine Mitre10 Group is seeking a highly motivated Management Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is a key role responsible for delivering insightful financial analysis, managing inventory and cost controls, and supporting strategic business decisions through data-driven insights, so a keen interest in cost accounting and business analysis would be an advantage. Key Responsibilities: Financial Analysis & Reporting · Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and provide insights for Senior Management. · Report on stocktake results across all stores. · Evaluate company performance using key financial data and metrics. Budgeting & Forecasting · Assist with budget preparation and internal funding plans. · Produce forecasts to support effective business planning. · Perform variance analysis to drive performance improvements. Capital & Investment Support · Contribute to capital evaluations and business case development. · Assist in managing the investment portfolio. Internal Reporting · Prepare monthly journals and general ledger reconciliations. · Deliver accurate and timely Profit & Loss statements across the business. Risk Management · Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies. Organisational Collaboration · Support the Financial Accountant during audit preparation. · Coach and guide internal staff to better understand and interpret financial data. Systems & Process Improvement · Use financial systems and tools such as MS Office, ERP, and Power BI to streamline reporting. · Recommend improvements and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Leadership · Train and delegate responsibilities within the CIA team. · Manage and develop staff to ensure high performance and professional growth. Selection Criteria: CA (or equivalent) qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems and BI tools. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. · Strong reconciliations experience · High attention to detail · Ability to prioritise and work under pressure · Self-motivated, with demonstrated ability to accept responsibility · Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Outlook Why Sunshine Mitre10 Group?
