Joining the Senior Leadership Team this role will see you have overarching responsibility for shaping and executing the credit, fraud, and enterprise risk strategies across the region. The Role Reporting to the USA and working closely with the CEO you will lead the development and implementation of strategies related to credit, fraud, and overall risk. This position will ensure sound governance, effective credit risk controls, and proactive fraud mitigation, all while prioritizing a seamless customer experience and adherence to regulatory requirements to enable long-term business growth. The role will deliver risk insights to key strategic decisions, manage high-performing teams across underwriting, monitoring, and dispute resolution, and foster a culture focused on accountability and ongoing improvement. Acting as the primary liaison with regulators, financial institutions, and card networks on all risk-related matters, you will develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise risk framework that supports the resilience and adaptability of the business within a rapidly evolving payments landscape. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of integrated credit, fraud, and risk strategies aligned with business objectives and long-term growth goals. Influence executive decision-making as part of the senior leadership team, offering risk-informed guidance that balances opportunity and protection. Oversee cross-functional teams across credit underwriting, fraud monitoring, and disputes, driving performance, innovation, and accountability. Maintain strong governance frameworks that support scale while meeting regulatory expectations and commercial needs. Serve as the primary contact for external stakeholders, including regulators, banks, and card schemes, on all risk-related matters. Monitor external changes in regulations, economic trends, and fraud patterns, adjusting internal strategies proactively. Lead portfolio-level credit risk management, guiding decisions on complex exposures and evolving risk policies to fit regional dynamics. Lead the end to end credit risk lifecycle for payment facilitators and continuously evolve the credit risk policies. Drive the operational execution of the AML/CTF program across all credit risk processes. Champion the integration of automation and technology in risk processes to improve decision speed, accuracy, and client outcomes. Drive strategic fraud prevention efforts, overseeing investigations, embedding controls, and advising on risk in new initiatives. Lead and chair risk governance programs reviewing key exposures and emerging threats. Drive enterprise risk assessments owning the development, implementation and refinement of the business register and associated risk frameworks. About You A minimum of ten years of experience in senior leadership roles overseeing credit and risk within the financial services or payments sector. Track record of leading diverse, multi-disciplinary risk teams effectively. In-depth working knowledge of credit assessment, underwriting, fraud prevention strategies, and regulatory compliance Skilled in engaging with executive leadership, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and external partners. Familiarity with PayFac (payment facilitator) operations, enterprise risk structures, and working with complex merchant ecosystems is a strong advantage. Holds a tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Risk, or a similar discipline.
