Glass Outlet is a dynamic and growing organization in need of a talented Finance Manager to join our team. As Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in analysing financial data, preparing reports, and supporting strategic decision-making. This is a newly created position, and the finance team is undergoing a bit of an overhaul so someone who is interested in streamlining, improving and implementing new processes will really thrive. As a fully qualified accountant you will have excellent commercial acumen and be inquisitive around the numbers. This is a very busy national role with lots of moving parts leading a team of six. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the full day-to-day function of the finance team allowing the CFO to focus elsewhere • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Ensure month end is completed within the company timeframes • Manage the preparation and submission of all required tax returns and compliance reports to relevant Australian authorities. • Manage the annual external audit process. • Forecast and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs. • Monitor accounts receivable and payable, proactively addressing any outstanding issues or delays. Develop and implement strategies to reduce DSO and DPO. • Analyse financial data to support strategic planning and budgeting efforts. • Perform cost analyses and identify savings opportunities. • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes. • Evaluate the company’s performance using key financial data. • Be a proactive team player, assisting the team with operational activities as needed. Requirements : • Proven experience as an accountant or similar role (3-5 plus years). • Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles. • Intermediate to advance excel skills. • Proficiency in risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. • Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office. • Analytical mindset with strong mathematical aptitude. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. • Organisational and leadership skills (3-5 plus year managing staff) • Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or a related field with CPA or CA or working towards this. This role is offered on a permanent basis working full-at our offices in Virginia, with flexibility around working hours.
