Reporting to the Financial Controller – Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial insights, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across finance systems and processes. Key Responsibilities Lead the financial reporting function across insurance, reinsurance, investments, and expenses. Manage and mentor a team of qualified accountants, fostering a high-performance culture. Ensure timely and compliant statutory and regulatory reporting (e.g. APRA, ASIC, ATO). Oversee reinsurance administration including recoveries, payments, and reconciliations. Drive automation and enhancement of financial systems and processes. Maintain a robust internal control environment aligned with relevant policies. Manage liquidity and optimise returns on surplus cash. Deliver accurate and insightful management reporting and analysis. Partner with business leaders to support decision-making and strategic initiatives. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Support and lead key financial and business transformation projects. About You You’re a collaborative and proactive finance leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes. What You’ll Bring CA or CPA qualified, with a relevant tertiary degree. Demonstrated experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within Financial Services/Insurance Strong experience in leading and developing finance teams. Advanced technical accounting and reporting skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines. What’s in it for you?
