Assistant Accountant - Sydney We are looking for… Hopefully, you! We’re seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Sydney. It is an ideal role for new graduates who are keen to acquire a broad professional experience ranging from the accounts receivable and the accounts payable function, as well as provide operational support as required by the business. The ideal candidate will hold an accounting degree, great attention to detail, an eagerness to learn, and can play as a team. The Assistant Accountant’s key responsibilities will include: Performing bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, investigating and resolving variances Processing supplier invoices, ensuring coding accuracy and timely approvals Supporting on data collection for tax filings, audit requests, and statutory reporting with supervision Preparing and sending customer invoices and credit notes as required Responding to basic finance queries from internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner Providing data support to the Finance Manager during the reporting cycle Requirements We need you to bring… A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent CA/ CPA or equivalent certification commenced or planned is desirable Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Strong numerical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail and logical thinking High levels of initiative with the ability to work independently A track record of experience working in a similar finance function carrying out key accounting tasks would be an added bonus Please note that we require full permanent working rights for this position.
