Under the general direction of the Director of Capital Programs, the Chief of Construction performs the most complex construction tasks relative to this area of responsibility; administers and participates in design activities (as needed) and all construction project activities; ensures construction work quality and adherence to established construction codes; supervises, assigns, and reviews the work of staff responsible for the commission of construction projects; responsible for supervising, assigning, and reviewing the work of subordinate or contracted construction and engineering staff (during construction) and general contractors. The Chief of Construction may also be responsible for overseeing the work of outside consultants or assisting higher level managerial staff in planning and evaluating the quantity and quality of work performed by subordinate staff.

Salary: $178000 - $202000 per year
