About the role:
As our Communications Content Officer, you'll play a key role in creating engaging content that connects with our audiences and supports CDC's marketing and communications across the fast-paced data centre industry. You'll help bring our stories to life—writing clear, concise, and engaging content across a range of formats, from internal updates to external campaigns. Working in our External Affairs team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects and make a significant impact on CDC's communication strategies.
Other responsibilities include:
- Assist in writing and editing copy for various marketing materials, including website content, blog posts, social media content, email campaigns, product descriptions, and advertisements.
- Craft messages that communicate industry trends, business developments, and company insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that all copy aligns with our brand voice, style guidelines, and messaging strategy.
- Contribute copy for press releases, media advisories, and pitch documents to promote the company's achievements, initiatives, and events.
- In line with existing internal communication plans, create engaging internal communications to keep employees informed, motivated, and aligned with company goals, industry developments, and key initiatives.
- Develop content for the company intranet, internal newsletters, and other platforms that foster employee engagement and knowledge sharing.

About you:
This role would be suitable for a candidate with experience working in a corporate communications environment and is confident writing across a variety of platforms—from traditional media to digital channels. You'll enjoy crafting content that connects with different audiences and be comfortable adapting your style to suit the message.
This is a newly created position created to support our wider communications strategy and offers a unique opportunity for someone motivated to grow with us as we continue to expand across Australia.
- Bachelor's degree in communication, Journalism, English or related field
- Background in internal and external communications to diverse audiences, translating complex subjects clearly
- Prior experience in a communications role, preferably in technology or digital industries
- Exposure to writing on technical and digital issues is highly desirable
Essential:
Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
