WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead the entitlement and planning processes for development projects as needed, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained in a timely and strategic manner.
- Oversee all aspects of general contractor and consultant management, from the bidding phase through pre-construction, active construction, pre-opening, and final turnover to Operations.
- Serve as the primary liaison for architectural, design, and specialty consultants, ensuring cohesive collaboration and alignment with project goals.
- Partner closely with the SVP of Development to drive project execution, with a continuous focus on delivering projects ahead of schedule and under budget.
- Maintain and report on project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure accountability, progress tracking, and performance management.
- Communicate project timelines, milestones, and turnover readiness clearly and proactively to internal construction and development teams.
- Approach all responsibilities with an entrepreneurial mindset, consistently seeking opportunities to innovate, streamline, and enhance project outcomes.
- Frequent travel, 25-40% per month
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in hospitality real estate construction
- Strong relationships with the general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors in the hospitality construction industry
- A successful track record in strategic execution of hospitality development projects
- Bachelor’s degree with advanced degree preferred
- Proven analytical and deal-negotiating skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across an organization
