Layla Brisbane marks the first venture north from Shane Delia, bringing with him a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences embedded in an inventive approach to spice. Celebrated for his bold, Middle Eastern flavours, Shane’s unique culinary vision and dedication to quality have made his flagship restaurant Maha a fixture of Melbourne’s dining scene for the past 17 years, and extends to his other beloved Melbourne venues Maha North, Maha East, and Jayda.

The successful applicant will be responsible for working as part of the Layla Brisbane kitchen brigade to create amazing food in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

Assist and support the Restaurant Head Chef and Sous Chefs.
Assist with the planning of menus and meals.
Preparation and service of food for the restaurant and functions.
Supervise other Kitchen staff.
Offer guidance to Kitchen staff in relation to the preparation, cooking and presentation of different foods.
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to implement and maintain food safety and work health and safety standards in the kitchen.
